The UT Permian Basin Men's Soccer offense exploded Wednesday night for three goals at No. 25 West Texas A&M. It tied the team's highest goal output of the season and was the most against the Buffs since 2017.
Victor Radilla hit the first goal of the match on a highlight reel solo effort. Radilla intercepted a pass from the Buffs, turned around, and placed a perfect shot over the keeper's hands and below the crossbar for the 1-0 Falcon lead in the 14
th minute of play.
The Buffs came back in the 36
th minute and scored on a penalty kick to tie the match 1-1. The Falcons answered right back on a header from
Leonardo Bonelli off a corner kick from
Gustavo Barroso to give the Falcons a 2-1 lead in the 39
th minute and into the half.
In the second half Barroso was able to convert a penalty kick in the 87
th minute but it wasn't enough as the Buffs took the 6-3 victory.
Barroso and Bonelli led the Falcons offensively with a goal each and two shots on goal. Radilla added a goal on one of his two shots.
Alfonso Aragon picked up his 200
th career save as he made four of them.
