UT Permian Basin Women's Basketball added a major force on the board with the addition of Fatou Kine Diop.  She comes from Senegal and spent time at Trinity Valley Community College and Northeastern Oklahoma College.

As a sophomore at NEO she was a force on the boards collecting 127 rebounds. She added 85 points, 12 steals, and 21 assists as they advanced to the third round of the NJCAA Region II Tournament. At Trinity Valley she helped her team to a 29-5 record and a 15-3 conference record as a freshman.

"Diop comes from two nationally ranked powerhouse junior colleges," said Head Coach Rae Boothe. "Her time at those two junior colleges gave her great experience which she will carry over to UTPB. She is going to do really well for us with her height and her versatility as she plays bigger than she is and can shoot the three."
