Last year UT Permian Basin Softball was on pace to reset the record books before the year was cut short. The team led the Lone Star Conference with 237 hits and were just four wins away from having the most in a season for the program. Since joining the NCAA, the Falcons have had six players reach 100 career hits including one from this last season.

10. Melissa Zuniga - 84 - 2016-17
One of the more recent players on this list, Zuniga transferred to UTPB and put up two good years. She broke out as a senior, batting .312 with 49 hits, three home runs, and 18 RBI. As a senior, she earned Third Team All-Lone Star Conference honors. For her career she had 18 extra base hits, 26 RBI, and 40 runs scored.
9. Taleas Marble - 87 - 2013-14
Marble only spent two season in orange and white but it was her first one that was a monster year. As a junior she batted .333 with 52 hits, one of only six 50-hit seasons in program history. She earned an All-Heartland Conference First Team selection for her efforts. She finished her two years with a .274 batting average. seven home runs, and 31 RBI.
8. Irene Valdez - 92 - 2015-16
Valdez had a huge junior year after transferring to UTPB. She paced the offense with 55 hits, the third most in a single season in program history, and earned 2015 All-Conference First Team honors. A career .295 hitter, Valdez was also a base stealer, swiping 17 bags over two seasons, the seventh most in Falcon history.
7. Courtney Cernoch/ Angel Castro - 93
A two-way tie with 93 hits lands in the seventh spot of the list. Cernoch and Castro spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons together as teammates. Castro had great power, hitting 12 home runs and drove in 64, both the second most on the list. Cernoch was also impressive with 18 doubles and six home runs to her name. Castro had a big 2010 season, batting .360 with 10 home runs and 48 RBI. She was a two-time All-Conference First Team honoree and was the 2010 Heartland Conference Newcomer of the Year. Castro also has the honor of being the only member on this list to walk more than she struck out. Cernoch was a 2011 All-Conference Second Team member after hitting .295 with four home runs and 20 RBI.

6. Miley McKee - 105 - 2014-16
McKee put together three good years as a Falcon, hitting no lower than .269 in a season and finished as a .282 career hitter. She played in 146 games racking up her 105 hits and drove in 45 runs. She finished her career strong with a .315 batting average and 28 hits.
5. Chelsey Morgan - 113 - 2011-13
Morgan came to the Falcons with a bang, racking up 38 hits and batting .328 in 2011 and earning Second Team All-Conference honors. Morgan set a career high in 2013 with 44 hits with 11 extra base hits and 21 RBI. A force in the line-up, Morgan finished with 56 RBI, the fourth most in program history.
4. Jessica Gonzales - 115 - 2017-20
A four-year starter for Coach
Tiala Tagaloa and the most recent player on this list, Gonzales reached 100 hits just this last season. She was in the midst of her best season as a Falcon in 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the remainder of the season. Gonzales was hitting .267 with 23 hits and already set a career high with 18 RBI. She is also the school's hit by pitch record holder with 30.
3. Alisha Carrasco - 126- 2010-11
Carrasco has by far the highest batting average on this list, hitting .409 over two seasons at UTPB. She carried the offense with two of the best offensive seasons in program history. In 2010, she set a school records with 73 hits and a .465 batting average along with 47 steals. The school's all-time leader in steals leads that category by a mile, with 73 while the next closest has 31. She is the only player in the top 10 wih more hits than games played, and played in 50 less games than anyone else with 100 hits. Carrasco earned back to back Heartland All-Conference First Team honors and was the 2010 Conference Newcomer of the Year. Despite being on campus for just two years, Carrasco scored the most runs in team history with 74.
2. Cene Padilla - 131 - 2010-13
Padilla was a constant part of the Falcon line-up for four years that ended with 131 hits. She burst onto the scene in 2010 with her best season, batting .373 with three home runs and 12 RBI. She had a power surge as a senior, slugging seven after hitting just one in the previous two seasons. In 180 games, Padilla hit .253 with 33 extra base hits and 51 RBI and was a 2011 All-Conference Second Team honoree.
1. Adrianna Berzoza - 157 - 2015-18
Berzoza quietly put together a record setting career as a Falcon and finished as the team's all time hits leader. A four-year starter, nobody has played more games than her in a Falcon uniform and she got better each year. She finished her career strong with a .306 batting average as a junior and a .310 average as a senior. As a senior, she also recorded 45 hits, five home runs, and 21 RBI. Berzoza's name tops a lot of categories in the career record books. She leads in doubles (34), RBI (75), and extra base hits (51). She is second in career home runs with 13 and second in runs scored with 72.
