Making her first start in goal,
Daniella Franco made five saves against Lubbock Christian in the Falcons first game in 14 days. It wasn't enough as the Falcons (0-3) fell to the Lady Chaps (3-2) 11-0 on Sunday.
The Falcons controlled the ball for the first five minutes before the Lady Chaps battled back. They'd score in the ninth minute before adding a goal just over a minute later. They'd continue to score adding five more goals in the first half.
The Falcons had chances in the second half.
Kessie Stocker twice had opportunities in the 70th and 72nd minute but her shots were deflected wide. The Falcons had chances later with three straight corner kicks but couldn't cash in. The Lady Chaps continued to score in the second half adding four goals.
Stocker led the Falcons with three shots while
Gipsey Gonzalez and
Lauren Marenco also got shots off.
The Falcons begin conference play next week as they head east to take on UT Tyler on Thursday before facing off with Texas A&M - Commerce on Saturday.
