Salvador Vargas Ramos scored for the first time in his Falcon career, but it wasn't enough as UT Permian Basin fell to Texas A&M International 3-1.
The Falcons (2-3) had a terrific opportunity early in the game, in the 13th minute
Ollie Grundy found space but missed the net wide left. Vargas Ramos had a chance minutes later but was denied and
Jakob Beschel fired on goal but was stopped in the 26th minute. The Dustdevils (4-0-1) were the first team to break through in the 32nd minute, just beating the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.
The Dustdevils controled possession for the early part of the second half, adding goals in the 55th minute and 57th minute to expand the lead. The Falcons got on the board after a hand ball inside the box gave them a penalty kick. After the shot was blocked, Vargas Ramos got the rebound and easily found the back fo the net for the goal.
Kasper Wallstroem and Sebastian Kristofferson gave the Falcons life with shots on goal but couldn't convert ending the affair at 3-1.
As a team the Falcons had 10 shots and eight of them on goal. In net
Alfonso Aragon made seven saves, his most in a game this season.
The Falcons start Lone Star Conference play next Thursday at 3 p.m. when they hit the road to take on Lubbock Christian.
