UT Permian Basin men's and women's tennis each opened up at the 2019 Lone Star Conference Tennis Championships, and each team suffered a 4-0 defeat against Midwestern State in Waco, Texas.
Julia Ramalho fought back in the second set of her match against Ashley Ramirez. Ramalho dropped the first set 6-1, but battled back to take the second set 6-4 at#5 singles.
Raul Stevens was in control of his men's #1 singles match, winning 7-6 in the first and holding a 2-1 lead in the second set.
Fernando Siquiera was leading in his #6 men's singles match after taking the first set 6-3.
