A victory against a top-10 doubles team highlighted UT Permian Basin men's and women's tennis senior day as each team played their final match at home Friday morning. The UTPB men are now done for the regular season, while the Falcon women wrap up their year Sunday with a match against Texas A&M Kingsville in Kingsville, Texas.

Fernando Siqueira and Jorge Garcia defeated the #8 doubles team in the nation, Ben Westwick and Alberto Diaz 6-3 at #1 doubles, to wrap up the doubles point for the Falcon men as Marcos Silva and JD Ruiz had earlier won their #3 doubles match 6-4.

"I am proud of the way our players faced adversity today on our last home match and senior day," said UTPB head coach Guillaume Gauthier. "Thanks to all of the faculty and staff as well as the students that came out to cheer us on!"

The Falcon women wrap up their season Sunday at 11 a.m. before next month's Lone Star Conference championships May 2-4.
