UT Permian Basin baseball finished with a 3-0 record at the Alpine Fresh 4-Him Classic in Cleburne earning them a spot as co-champions.

Saturday's championship match-up with Texas A&M - Kingsville was canceled due to inclement weather so the conference opponents finished with matching 3-0 records.  The teams will have to wait until April when they will square off in Lone Star Conference play.  The Falcons used pitching to take the opening game 2-1 over East Central after a brilliant performance from Ivan Thomas.  The second game the Falcons had to come back from down six runs to pull off the 11-7 win over Oklahoma Panhandle.  Yesterday, the offense carried the load with a seven-run first inning before taking down Colorado Christian 16-10 to sweep their side of the bracket.  

The Falcons return home to take on University of the Southwest on Tuesday at Roden Field.
