Box Score Mo Walton and Miles Washington led the UT Permian Basin attack on offense, but Eastern New Mexico took an early lead and never let up Thursday night as the Greyhounds took an 83-66 win over the Falcons Thursday night in Portales, N.M.

UTPB shot 50 percent as a team in the first half, but the Greyhounds held a 41-35 advantage at the halftime break.

Mo Walton helped the Falcons close within a single possession in the second half, cutting the Greyhound lead to 51-49 with a three-point play when he was fouled on a layup.

The two-point game was as close as the Falcons would get in the second half as Eastern New Mexico led by double-digits for most of the final 10 minutes of the game.

Walton led the Falcons with 14 points on 6-10 shooting from the field. Washington added 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds on the night.

Zach Parker led Eastern New Mexico with 17 points on 6-12 shooting, hitting three 3-pointers on the night.

The Falcons are back in action Saturday, taking on #7 West Texas A&M at 4 p.m. in Canyon, Texas.
