UT Permian Basin men's basketball closes out a five-game road trip this weekend when the Falcons travel to Eastern New Mexico Thursday night for an 8:30 p.m. tip against the Greyhounds, and close out the weekend with a 4 p.m. game at West Texas A&M in Canyon.
The Falcons are coming off of a 105-99 win last Thursday against Western New Mexico in Silver City, N.M.
Jacob Ledoux scored a season-high 36 points on the night, hitting 15-21 of his field goal attempts in scoring the second-most points by a Lone Star Conference player this season.Â
UTPB earned a 95-81 win over ENMU earlier this season.
Xavier Ledet led a group of five Falcons in double figures with 20 points and eight rebounds as UTPB shot 60 percent as a team in the 14-point win.
UT Permian Basin sits half a game behind Eastern New Mexico in the Lone Star standings in 6th and 7th place, respectfully.Â
The Greyhounds enter tonight after a one-point, 81-80 win last Saturday on the road at Midwestern State. Chukuka Emili and Zach Parker each scored 13 points to lead Eastern as Parker hit a 3-pointer as time expired to pick up the come-from-behind win.Â
UTPB and #13 West Texas A&M played a nail biter earlier in the season in an eventual 83-82 Buff win at the UTPB Gym. Ledoux paced UTPB with 21 points and three 3-pointers in the loss, while Ledet went off for 18 points on 7-8 shooting with a game-best 12 rebounds.Â
West Texas A&M has climbed up to #7 in the national rankings and leads the Lone Star Conference in first place with a 10-1 record in league play, including victories in each of their last six games.Â
