Injuries limited the Falcons to just 10 players for the majority of the game, but they still held the Texas Woman's offense in check for most of the afternoon, falling 4-0.
The Pioneers (7-1) struck early, scoring in the sixth minute of the game. They'd add another goal in the 26th minute after an injury forced the Falcons (0-6) to play shorthanded. The defense would settle in not allowing another score heading into the half.
The offense got their first opportunity of the day when
Ariel Roybal fired on goal but was stopped. The Pioneers would add to their lead fighting through the defensive effort despite the Falcons shorthandedness.
Kessie Stocker had multiple chances on offense for the Falcons.
Marlise Bond continued to add to her impressive save total, stopping seven more shots.
The Falcons are on the road next week heading to St. Edward's before taking on Angelo State.
