Analise Lucio reached a career milestone, and three Falcon upperclassmen led the way with 11 kills as the Falcons took a 3-1 victory (25-17, 23-25, 25-22, 25-19) over Eastern New Mexico in Portales, N.M.
The match turned in the third set with the contest tied 1-1. With Eastern New Mexico holding a 14-11 lead in the third, the Falcons scored five straight points to flip the lead to a 16-14 Falcon advantage behind a solo block by
Skyler Friel and an ace by Murillo. UTPB never trailed over the remainder of the third set and claimed the three-point set win on a Greyhound set error.
The Falcons closed it out midway through the fourth behind a 7-1 rally to take control of the set 16-10. Murillo recorded a pair of kills to set up match point, and a winner by Friel gave the Falcons their 16th victory of the season.

Travana Matthews each had 11 kills on the afternoon for the Falcons; Friel hitting a team-best .476 and Matthews percentage points behind at .474 as the duo combined for just three errors on 40 attempts. Murillo added 11 digs on the afternoon in recording her fifth double-double of 2019.
Analise Lucio also had a double-double for the Falcons, leading the team with 40 assists and 13 digs on the day. She surpassed 1,000 career assist on the afternoon.
Megan Ashton had a game-best 18 digs on defense for UTPB.
The Falcons return home this week, taking on Tarleton Thursday night at 7 p.m.
