The UT Permian Basin women's soccer team went to the wire tied with Texas Woman's before a late goal gave Texas Woman's the 2-1 victory.

Lea Walenta put one into the top right corner of the goal for her second of the season and tied the game at one. The Pioneers fired off 19 shots in the second half. Haley Ward's shot in the 88th minute finally beat the Falcon defense and gave them the 2-1 victory. Crites finished with 11 saves in goal, while
Caitlin Gomez assisted on the Walenta goal.
The Falcons return home next week where they will take on West Texas A&M on Friday before facing Eastern New Mexico on Sunday.
