Starting a five-game homestand, the UT Permian Basin Falcons fell to #15 West Texas A&M 7-0 in a rainy affair.
West Texas A&M (10-1, 5-0) opened the scoring early.with Samantha Silvesre cleaning up a loose ball in the fifth minute. The game would stay that way for nearly 30 minutes. The Falcons (1-9, 0-5) had a chance when
Lauren Marenco's pass missed the foot of
Lea Walenta by inches. Then in the 33rd minute the Lady Buffs took control of the game. They would score four times, including two from Hannah Kelley-Lusk to make it 5-0 heading into half time.
The Lady Buffs would score twice more in the second half for the 7-0 final.
The Falcons continue their homestand Sunday with a 1 p.m. game against Eastern New Mexico before continuing it next weekend.
