The UT Permian Basin women's soccer team (1-7, 0-3) fell on the road 2-0 at Texas A&M Commerce (4-3, 1-2).
Both teams couldn't get anything going offensively in the first half. The Falcons were able to get just one shot early in the half while the defense held Commerce scoreless on two shots on goal.
Commerce was able to break the seal and score on the Falcons in the second half. Michelle Kotlik's head found the ball off a cross and knocked it into the back of the net in the 54th minute. She would add a second goal later in the game to make it 2-0 and put the game out of reach.
Chenoa Crites made five saves in goal for the Falcons. As a team they had four shots on goal.
The Falcons stay on the road this Sunday as they take on Texas Woman's University in Denton before coming home for five consecutive home games.
