The UT Permian Basin women's soccer team fell in their Lone Star Conference opener to Angelo State 5-1 Wednesday night.
Angelo State came out and scored just 1:29 into the game. UTPB would answer quickly when
Kessie Stocker found the back of the net just 10 minutes later to make it 1-1. Angelo State would score again in the 25th minute when Cassandra Moosburger scored. The score would remain 2-1 heading into the half.
Trenady Scoot would add her second goal of the night to give Angelo State the 3-1 lead. They would add another :31 later to make it 4-1. They would score later on a penalty kick which would be the 5-1 final.
Chenoa Crites had 10 saves in goal for UTPB while
Julia Funck added an assist on the Stocker goal.
UTPB returns home on Sunday to take on MSU Texas before heading back on the road next week.
