UT Permian Basin volleyball improved to 4-3 on the season Saturday afternoon, picking up their second win in three matches this weekend with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-17 sweep of Colorado State - Pueblo at the 2018 Hilltopper Classic in Austin, Texas.
Aquincia Strambler paced the Falcons with 11 kills on the afternoon while
Marissa Aguilar added seven and
Skyler Friel had six winners in the three sets. UT Permian Basin.
The Falcons hit .252 on the day as a team, committing just eight total errors while forcing CSU Pueblo into 16 total errors.
UTPBÂ ended the contest with 11 aces to three by CSUP, and six blocks to allowing just one block.
Kiera Granado led the Falcons with 18 assists, and Aguilar had a match-high 19 total digs.Â
The Falcons continue non-conference action next Friday at Texas A&M International before beginning Lone Star Conference play at Texas A&M Kingsville Saturday, Sept. 8
