Football Kicks Off 2018 at LSC Media Day

7/24/2018 12:43:00 PM

Head Coach Justin Carrigan, senior defensive tackle Jared Thames and senior defensive end/fullback Marquee Allison helped UT Permian Basin kick off the 2018 football preseason Tuesday afternoon at Lone Star Conference media day at the Marriott Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio.

Tuesday afternoon saw the release of the LSC preseason poll and announcement of Preseason Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, and served as a reminder that fall camp is less than two weeks away from beginning.

The Falcons were selected to finish 8th in the league after receiving 57 points in voting by the league's coaches, sports information directors and media members.

UT Permian Basin opens its season with a pair of road games in 2018, traveling to kick off the season September 1 at Texas Southern in Houston before flying north the next week for a Sept. 8 away game at Northern Michigan. The Falcons open their home schedule the next Saturday hosting Midwestern State Sept. 15 at Ratliff Stadium.

Season tickets remain on sale for the Falcons 2018 home schedule, and can be purchased one of four ways;
