With it's 10-5 season-ending win over Eastern New Mexico, UT Permian Basin clinched the sixth and final seed in this weekend's Lone Star Conference Baseball Championships, hosted by West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas, May 10-12.
The Falcons end the season 5-19 in conference play and tied with Cameron in the final standings, but win the tiebreaker due to a victory over Texas A&M Kingsville earlier this year while Cameron was swept by the Javelinas this past weekend.
UTPBÂ meets #3 Texas A&M Kingsville Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the opening game of the single-elimination tournament, with the winner advancing to face #2 Tarleton State Friday at 3 p.m. All games this weekend will be streamed for free on the LSC GameCentral portal and can be found on UTPBFalcons.com
