Having won the opening game of the weekend 8-1, UT Permian Basin softball walked-off in extra innings Friday night in game two, winning 7-6 in nine innings to take a pair of Lone Star Conference contests at home against Western New Mexico.

Adrianna Berzoza home run in the bottom of the fourth.
April Arellano tied the game in the bottom of the fifth with a base hit back up the middle to score Maritza Rojas and Berzoza.
Sloan Springfield gave UTPBÂ its first lead in game two on a single to left to score Vanessa Alonzo.
A bunt single by Aubree Avila scored Arellano, and Springfield later stole home after a steal of second by Avila for a 6-3 lead.
The Mustangs came back strong in the top of the seventh, tying the contest on an Alicia Habitzreuther three-run home run to knot the game at 6-6.
Lasting until the bottom of the ninth, Jessica Gonzalez ended the night with a single deep to right that scored Arellano for the 7-6 victory.
Berzoza led the Falcons in the seven-run victory in game one, driving in three runs including a two-run home run for the game's first runs in the bottom of the first. Rojas led UTPB with a 3-3 day at the plate, scoring twice with an RBI.
Cindy Juarez went seven innings for her fourth win of the season. She allowed six hits and a walk with a strikeout while giving up one earned run in the complete game.
The Falcons and Mustangs wrap up the weekend Saturday afternoon with one LSC game followed by a non-conference contest.
