Tickets for this weekend's NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament DII South Central Regional will go on sale Wednesday at 12 p.m. CT to the general public as courtside/baseline/box seating will be $15 per session, while reserved chairback seats are $10.  General admission (5 yrs.-up) are $5 and students with ID are $4. 

UT Permian Basin has been named the #2 seed in the 2018 NCAA DII South Central Region and will face a former and somewhat familiar opponent next Saturday in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in #7 UA Fort Smith.

UTPB and Fort Smith were both members of the Heartland Conference until the summer of 2016 when the Falcons joined the Lone Star Conference.

UAFS was 24-5 this season and finished second in the Heartland Conference with a record of 12-4. DaVaunta Thomas, a 6-4 senior guard, was named the Heartland Conference Player of the Year averaged 14.2 points and 6.9 rebounds for the Lions. Fort Smith was eliminated in the first round of the Heartland Conference Championships in an 88-79 loss to #7-seeded Oklahoma Christian.
