UT Permian basin softball scored the first two runs of the day Friday afternoon in a Lone Star Conference doubleheader at #11 Texas A&M - Commerce, but the Lions scored 11 runs in the third through fifth innings in a 13-7 win over UTPB in game one. The Lions came back to blank the Falcons 10-0 in game two of the three game weekend series.

Adrianna Berzoza each hit back-to-back one out home runs in the top of the first to help the Falcons to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first.
Tied at 2-2, a Berzoza sacrifice fly in the top of the third gave UTPB back the lead again at 3-2.
Berzoza drove in a third run in the top of the fifth on an RBI double with a pair on base. Alexis Watson scored two in the frame with a single back up the middle.
Watson drove home another in the seventh with the bases loaded on a ball into left field.
Berzoza ended the game 3-3 at the plate with three RBI and a pair of runs scored. Souza scored three time with a pair of hits while Watson went 2-4 with three RBI.
Commerce came back with three home runs in the first two innings of game two. Baylea Higgs drove in three in the game for the Lions while scoring twice, and Jodie Hill went 3-3 at the plate with two runs scored. Katie Dean held the Falcons to three hits while walking none in five innings.
