Khali Pippins-Tryon led the Falcons with 15 points on the night while
Jada Berry was a perfect 6-6 from the field as each hit a pair of 3-pointers on the day, Berry adding 14 points in the blow out victory.
"I was pleased with our performance after an eight day break," said head coach
Rae Boothe. " We had a great win before the break and followed it with a better one today. We were able to do great things on both sides of the court. Offensively we shared the ball the best we have all year. We passed up good shots to get great shots."
The Falcons controlled the rebounding battle, out-rebounding the Dustdevils 39-28 on the ay.
Juliette Akinwole had a game-high 12 rebounds to go with eight points and a game-best five steals for UTPB. Eight different players scored at least six points for the Falcons in the 43-point win.
UTPB heads into conference play next week, hosting a pair of tough conference games against West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico as the Falcons get back into Lone Star Conference play.
"To win the last couple of games with the margin in which we did gives us confidence going into a huge conference week," said Boothe. " West Texas A&M is a top-five team in the country and Eastern New Mexico is regionally ranked. We certainly need to play our best basketball to compete this coming week."
