A slow start doomed the chances of UT Permian Basin women's basketball in their 82-59 loss to Colorado School of Mines.

After trading baskets to start the game, the Orediggers (3-2) began to pull away, with a 9-0 towards the end of the quarter.  A Khali Pippins-Tryon three towards the end of the quarter put the Falcons (1-5) down 25-15.  The Falcon offense went cold in the second quarter, scoring only 13 points as the Orediggers went into the half leading 47-28. 

The Falcon defense would play better in the second half dropping the Oredigger shooting percentage by 12 points.  Lemia Ntor-Ue would score seven of her 11 points in the second half on 3-4 shooting in the 82-58 final.  Pippins-Tryon led the offense with 12 points.  Ntor-Ue also added four rebounds and two blocks.

The Falcons are on the road again next week as they begin Lone Star Conference play in Denton as they take on Texas Woman's University.
