UT Permian Basin volleyball closed out conference play this weekend with a 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 loss Saturday afternoon against #21 Texas A&M Commerce in Lone Star Conference action in Commerce, Texas.
The Lions held UTPBÂ to hitting just .056 as a team on the afternoon while collectively hitting .340 as a team over the three sets.
Analise Lucio tied for the team lead with
Travana Matthews and
Skyler Friel as all three players had six kills each. Lucio also had a team-high 11 assists on the day while
Sarah Vasquez had a team-best 10 digs, tying for the match-high.
Celeste Vela had 12 kills to lead all players in the match for the Lions. Rylie Fuentes paced Commerce with 17 assists, and Savannah Rutledge led TAMUCÂ with 10 digs.
The Falcons are back in action right away, returning home Monday night for a 6 p.m. conference match against Western New Mexico.
