On a day in which they honored their seniors, the UT Permian Basin women's soccer team was defeated by Texas A&M - Commerce 2-0 on Sunday.

The Falcon (1-12, 0-8) came out firing with four shots in the first five minutes including two on goal but it would be the Lions (6-5, 3-4) who would break through first.  After a Falcon foul, Leslie Campuzano would score off the free kick to make it 1-0.  The Falcons would continue to pepper the net with nine first half shots but were unable to find the back of the net. 

Neither team was able to get much going in the second half as both defenses settled in.  The in the 88th minute Sabrina Munguia would steal the ball and find the back of the net herself to make it 2-0.  The Falcons would finish with 11 total shots with four on goal.  Raeann Garcia had four saves in net for the Falcons while Ariel Roybal led the offense with four shot attempts.

The Falcons play their final home game on Wednesday against Angelo State at 7 p.m. before hitting the road for their final three games of the season.
