The UT Permian Basin women's soccer team fell to Texas Woman's University 3-0 on Friday, after holding Texas Woman's scoreless in the first half.
The Falcons (1-11, 0-7) weren't able to generate much offense in the first half but locked down on defense with
Raeann Garcia stopping all of the Pioneers (6-5-2, 3-2-2) six shots.
The Pioneers were able to break through in the second half. Riley Sutton was able to score on a break away to give the Pioneers the 1-0 lead. Haley Ward would go on to add a pair of goals 3:19 apart to make the final 3-0. Garcia would end the game with eight saves.
The Falcons continue their conference schedule Sunday with Texas A&M - Commerce before wrapping up their home schedule Wednesday against Angelo State.
