UT Permian Basin men's soccer scored first, but Adams State found a first-half equalizer and won on a goal a few minutes into overtime in a 2-1 victory over the Falcons Friday nigt at the UTPB Turf Field in Odessa.

Brandon Lee scored his second of the year in the 13th minute, dribbling through a pair of Adams State defenders down the middle of the field with his blast reaching the back of the net for a 1-0 lead 12:57 into the night.

Austin Rios headed in the tying goal at 35:11 of the first half off a corner kick, drawing Adams State equal late in the first half. 

Leo Barba, in the third minute of overtime, cleaned up a loose ball in the left side of the box and shot to the right side for the winning goal at 92:30.

Adams State led the Falcons with 14 shots to 6, UTPB making four saves on the night to one for the Grizzlies.

UTPB is back in action next weekend, traveling to open up Heartland Conference play against Newman and Rogers State.
