UT Permian Basin struggled again in the first quarter on their way to an 88-55 road loss at #22 Angelo State Thursday night in San Angelo, Texas.
The Falcons were out-scored 22-6 in the first 10 minutes and trailed 40-19 at halftime.
The Rambelles controlled the game in the paint, out-scoring UTPB 42-18 on the night in the lane. Angelo State also held a 17-5 points off turnovers margin, forcing 22 turnovers to committing 16.
Niva Taito led the Falcons with 14 points, shooting 6-11 from the field on the night.
Briana Caro added 11 points with three 3-pointers.
Christina Robinson led all players on the night for Angelo State, scoring 18 points on 7-10 shooting.
