Stefan Faria scored in the second overtime period as UT Permian Basin men's soccer closed out the regular season with a 3-2 overtime victory on the road at Lubbock Christian.
The win clinched the five-seed in next week's Heartland Conference Championships, where the Falcons will first travel to Texas A&M International in Laredo for their first round match.
Lee connected first for UTPB, scoring his 13th of the season in the 11th minute on a pass across the box by
Kaina Maia at 10:20 of the first.
Goals by Yuriy Sadula and Johnathan Woods late in the first period and early in the second period, respectively, put the Chaps on top 2-1 at 63:23.
Lee scored his second on a cross into the box by Frankie Rodrigez with just under 27 minutes remaining for his 14th of the year at 63:23.
Faria's game winner, his fifth of the year, came 2:20 into the second overtime period to end the game.
UTPB held a 25-17 shot lead on the night, taking 15 attempts to fuor for the Chaps in the first half. LCU had all four attempts in the first 10 minutes of overtime but the Falcons had both shots in the final 2:20 of the night.
