UT Permian Basin led early on in the first and third sets, but #11 Tarleton State rallied to defeat the Falcons 21-25, 10-25, and 16-25.

Rachel Dixon along with a kill by
Caitlyn Guajardo led to an early 5-1 lead in the first set.
The TexAnns came back to go ahead 9-7, but a five-point stretch featuring back-to-back kills from
Marissa Aguilar put the Falcons back ahead 14-10.
Six straight by Tarleton State put TSU back ahead, and although UTPB went back in the lead 18-17, TSU scored the last three of the opening set for the four-point first set win.
The Falcons came back in the third to lead early 4-2 behind an ace by
Sarah Vasquez and Dixon kill and led 9-6 on a winner by
Charlesia Jones, but Tarleton State finished the night on an 8-2 run for the match win in three sets.
Jones led the Falcons with six kills on the night, hitting .294 on 17 attempts.
Kiera Granado had 11 assists for UTPB and Vasquez nine digs for UTPB.
Hailey Roberts had a match high 15 kills for Tarleton State as TSU hit .287 as a team.
UTPB is back at home Saturday afternoon, hosting another top-25 opponent in #21 Angelo State at 1 p.m.
