UT Permian Basin volleyball looked to be in the driver's seat Tuesday night in Lone Star Conference action after taking the first two sets of the night against West Texas A&M, but the Lady Buffs stormed back to come-from-behind to win the next three and take the five-set match 25-23, 25-21, 19-25, 11-25, 6-15.

The Falcons played some of their best volleyball of the season in the first two sets, tallying 31 combined kills in sets one and two while hitting .375 in the four-point second set win.

UTPB had no answer for West Texas A&M in the rest of the match as the Lady Buffs hit .462, .435 and .588 while only committing three errors over the final three sets.

Caitlyn Guajardo had her best match of the season for UTPB with a season-high 24 kills to lead all players while hitting a team-best .417.

Mallory Nicholson led all players on the night with 46 assists, and Bree Edwards had a match-high 21 digs for UTPB.

The Falcons continue their three-game homestand this weekend, hosting Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico Friday night and Saturday afternoon, respectively.
