UT Permian Basin volleyball hosted one of the best teams in the nation to kick off its home volleyball slate and the visiting #8 ambelles took the Lone Star Conference match 15-25, 14-25, 21-25 Friday night in Odessa.
Angelo State held the Falcons to a positive hitting percentage in just one of the three sets and led the match hitting .244 to -.020 for the Falcons.
Abbie Lynn and Mallory Blauser led the Rambelles with eight kills apiece, while
Caitlyn Guajardo tallied seven winners for the Falcons.
Sarah Vasquez had 13 digs to tie for the match high, and
Mallory Nicholson led UTPB with 19 assists.
UTPB is back in action Saturday afternoon, hosting Tarleton State at 2 p.m.
