Box Score 2 Oklahoma Christian held the UT-Permian Basin offense in check Friday afternoon, limiting the Falcons to just one run over 16 innings in a pair of 3-0 and 8-1 losses at Roden Field.
UTPB had six hits to seven for the Eagles in game one, but were never quite able to piece together a big offensive inning after Oklahoma Christian started the game off fast with a pair of RBI singles in the top of the first for an early 2-0 lead.
Jack Miller led the offense in game one with a perfect 3-3 day at the plate for the Falcon offense with a double and a pair of singles.
Tyler Houlihan had a team-high three hits in four at bats in game two with a triple to right field and two singles as Oklahoma Christian used multiple run innings in the first, fifth and ninth innings to an 8-1 game two win.
Houlihan drove in the team's only run on his three-bagger in the bottom of the third to drive in
Kevin Barnes.
