UTPB Softball opened up its 2016 season Wednesday afternoon on the road, dropping a pair of 11-3 and 12-0 contests against Cameron in Lawton, Okla.
The Aggies went yard three times, including twice early on in the opening game of the day.Â
Trailing 3-0 after a three-run bomb in the second inning, the Falcons grabbed two back in its appearance at the plate in the third when
Zoe Murillo scored on a wild pitch.
Adrianna Berzoza later singled up the middle with a pair of runners on base to drive in
Mallory Hall to close within a run.
The Falcons responded again after another Cameron home run in the third with one of their own.
Alyssa Lene hit the first of her Falcon career to right field to trail 5-3.
Cameron tallied up five runs in the fifth inning before added a sixth in the bottom of the sixth to end the 11-3 contest.
The Aggies poured on the runs early in game two, scoring 12 different times in the first three innings.
Lene led UTPB with a pair of hits on the day.
UTPB returns in over a week, taking to its home field for the first time this season next weekend against University of the Southwest.
