The UT Permian Basin men's swimming team picked up a 167-112 dual victory over Trinity Saturday afternoon, while the Falcon women fell 127-160 against Trinity.
Steffen Buttner and
Patrick Flores each had a pair of wins for the Falcons. Buttner took first in the 100 freestyle in 50.12 and won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:46.78. Flores won the 100 butterfly in 53.96 and finished the 200 butterfly in 1:59.73. Five more individuals each won events for the UTPB men; Brandon May won the 40 freestyle in 22:54, Gustavo Damis took the lead in the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.17,
Nathan Pantalion won the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.69,
Jacob Allard won the 200 backstroke in 1:55.84, and
Mauricio Craig won the 200 breaststroke in 2:18.22. The relay team of
Nolan Hines, Flores, Craig and
Errol Lizzotte won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:21.80.
Anouk van Nellestijn won three events for the Falcon women. She took top spot in each the 200 IM (2:15.81), 100 breaststroke (1:10.22) and 200 breaststroke (2:30.00).
Amanda Alspaugh added a pair of first-place results in the 100 butterfly (1:00.93) and 200 butterfly (2:13.59).
Hunter Bishop,
Ashelen Alvarez and
Bailey Benson each had a victory; Bishop in the 200 freestyle in 2:00.79, Alvarez with a time of 2:14.48 in the 200 backstroke, and Benson in the 1,000 freestyle in 11:20.33. Alvarez, van Nellestijn, Alspaugh and Bishop teamed up to with the 200 medley relay in 1:54.54.
