UTPB women's soccer scored first Friday afternoon  and held off Lubbock Christian from scoring more than once for a 1-1 tie at the LCU Soccer Field in Lubbock, Texas.

Jasmin Lopez scored her first of the season at 60:11 when Desiree Guerrero drove down the field to beat a pair of Lady Chap defenders and crossed to Lopez who finished in the upper 90.

Madison Boyd needed four and a half minutes to grab the goal back for LCU, scoring on a header off of a corner kick at 64:40.

Ebony Campbell came up huge on the day for the Falcons, stepping up to make 15 saves on the afternoon.

The Falcons return home next week, kicking off four straight games on their home field with a Friday night conference game against Texas A&M International.
