UTPB women's soccer closed out a two-game weekend in Laredo against familiar Heartland Conference teams with a  5-1 defeat to St. Mary's.

Erica Ancich scored her second of the year late in the second half, converting a penalty kick to get the Falcons on the scoreboard.

St. Mary's led 4-0 up to that point, having scored three goals in a 12:19 window towards the ned of the first half. The Rattlers ended the game with five goals by five different players.

UTPB returns home for the first time this season, hosting West Texas A&M Friday night at 7 p.m. at the UTPB Soccer Field
