West Texas A&M waited through a  two hour weather delay Friday night to knock off the UTPB women's soccer team 2-0 in its 2015 home opener in Odessa.

Khadira Debesette put the Lady Buffs ahead early in the game, taking the ball deep into the box along the left goalline and finding the far right upper 90 of the net for her first of the season.

Karyn Forbes gave West Texas A&M an insurance goal at 62:04 by putting in a cross into a small hole in the left side of the net for a 2-0 lead.

UTPB goalkeeper Ebony Campbell made 10 saves on the night, including a number of tough stops to keep WTAMU off the scoreboard.

The Falcons return to the road later this weekend, traveling to San Angelo for a non-conference contest at Angelo State Sunday afternoon.
