UTPB softball traveled to Tarleton State on its off-weekend from conference play Saturday, and the TexAnns took a pair of 10-0 and 16-1 victories at the TSU Softball Complex in Stephenville, Texas.

TSU broke game one open in the bottom of the second, driving in five runs on a two-run single and a bases-loaded double that scored three for a 5-0 lead through two. The TexAnns doubled up their run total over the next two innings, aided by a pair of home runs.

The Falcons took the lead in game two, scoring in their first opportunity when Mallory Hall singled through the right side into the outfield to drive in Irene Valdez.

Tarleton State came back with a six-run bottom of the first, one of two big innings in the five run game.

The Falcons are back in Heartland Conference play this week, completing a four-game set against Lubbock Christian Tuesday afternoon that was previously postponed due to poor weather,
