UTPB softball posted its second straight split Friday afternoon at the Mansfield North Texas Softball Bash, opening the day with a 3-1 win over Bethany before a 14-0 defeat against Oklahoma City in Mansfield, Texas.
The Falcons trailed for a majority of the opener against Bethany, falling behind 1-0 in the top of the third on a solo home run from Jasmine Zaker.
UTPB waited until two outs in the bottom of the seventh to score its first run of the day, tying the game at 1-1 on a double from pinch hitter

Miley McKee ended the game in the next at bat, singling to right to score
Niki DiSera and Berzoza for the 3-1 win.
Holly Herrington earned the complete game victory, allowing the lone run in the third while limiting Bethany to four hits and one walk. She struck out seven in the seven inning outing.
The Falcons had few answers for Oklahoma City in game two on the day, giving up multiple runs in each of the five innings in the 14-0 loss.Â
Mallory Hall led UTPB with a hit in each of her three at bats while
Irene Valdez went 2-3 at the plate against the Stars.
The Falcons look to wrap up a winning weekend Saturday, taking in Texas Weslyan Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
