UTPB men's basketball picked up its fourth win in five games, defeating Oklahoma Panhandle State 93-61 Thursday night in Goodwell, Okla.

The win keeps the Falcons within striking distance of first place in the Heartland Conference at 11-6, sitting a game back of Rogers State and St. Mary's at 12-5 with three games left to play.

UTPB got scoring from across the board Thursday night, ending the game with six players scoring at least eight points and four players in double figures.

Phadarius Taylor led the Falcons with 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He hit 8-10 from the field as UTPB shot 58 percent on the night and connected on 19-25 from the field in the first half (76 percent).

Andre Smith added 12 points and six rebounds while UTPB also got 11 points from Scooter Holmes on 4-5 shooting and 10 points from Thomas Feeney. Codye Hatcher tied for the team lead with 10 defensive boards.

UTPB plays its final road game of the season Saturday afternoon, taking on Lubbock Christian at 3 p.m. in Lubbock, Texas.
