UT-Permian Basin Men's and Women's Swimming each pulled off a pair of dual wins Friday evening, with the UTPB men winning 152-42 over McMurry and 119-82 over St. Gregory's, and the Falcon women earning a 122-52 win against McMurry and a 130-44 win against St. Gregory's in Abilene.
Amanda Alspaugh and Allyson Padilla each had two wins on the night for UTPB. Padilla took first in the 50 free with a time of 26.24 and won the 500 free in 5:41.48. Alspaugh won the 200 freestyle with a winning time of 2:00.24 and finished first in 59.57 in the 100 buterfly.
Haylei Scoggins won the 200 IM in 2:23.31 and
Sarah Waldren added a victory of 58.71 in the 100 freestyle.
The UT-Permian Basin women added a pair of relay victories.
Peyton Slater, Sammi Strohmeyer, Alspaugh and Waldren won the 200 Medley in 1:55.40, and Waldren,
Samantha Chin, Padilla and Slater took the 200 freestyle in 1:44.23
Mason Mitchell won twice on the night for the Falcon men. He won the 1,000 freestyle in 10:12.60 and finished first in 2:03.40 in the 200 IM.
Homero Cantu Belmares won the 200 freestyle in 1:51.86, and
Kyle Nelms took the victory in the 500 freestyle in 5:09.08.
Mitchell,
Brandon Hay,
Blake Bloomquist and
Nolan Hines combined to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:30.17.
