UTPB women's soccer looked to have come back late in the second half to draw even with Oklahoma Christian 1-1 Thursday night at the UTPB Soccer Field, but the goal was waived off and the Falcons suffered a 1-0 defeat.
Texas-Permian Basin thought they had scored their first of the night off of a free kick at 85:15, but the Falcons were called offside after the ball was in the back of the net.
UTPB fell behind 1-0 early in the first when Rubi Villegas shot a hard ball into the upper right corner from 25 yards out at 15:38.
The Falcons held a 13-6 shot advantage in the game, landing six shots on goal to four for OCU.
UTPB is back at home this weekend, taking on Rogers State at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
