UTPB Women's Soccer scored three times in the first half and held Rogers State scoreless Saturday afternoon as the Falcons picked up a 4-0 win in Heartland Conference action at the UTPB Soccer Field.
Ashley Redwine got the first of three UTPB goals in 6:28, scoring at 22:32 in the first half off of a cross from the right side by
Erica Ancich for her third goal of the season.
Jasmin Lopez tallied her second of the year, taking a long ball played by Redwine to the right flank and shooting to the right side of the net for a 2-0 lead at 25:40.
Kelsey Byrd scored her first of the season when Lopez assisted her on a cross to the middle of the box from the right side.
Lopez added her second of the game in the second half, stealing the loose ball from the Rogers State keeper to find the empty net from close space for the 4-0 win.
The Falcons out-shot Rogers State 22-8 on the day, getting 12 shots on net to four for the Hillcats.
Ebony Campbell stopped all four attempts on goal by RSU in net for UTPB.
The Falcons return to non-conference action this Tuesday, traveling to Portales, N.M. for a 2 p.m. game against Eastern New Mexico. Â
