A pair of early first half goals by Oklahoma Christian sent the UTPB Men's Soccer team to a 2-0 defeat Thursday night at in Heartland Conference action in Odessa.

The Eagles scored the first goal of the night on a goal by Brandon Little Axe, finishing a cross from right to left to find an empty left side of the goal for a 1-0 advantage at 13:45.

Ante Susic doubled up the OCU lead just under nine minutes later, playing the ball down the right side of the field with a hard shot to the upper left of the goal for a 2-0 score at 22:30 in the first half.

The Falcons poured on the shots in the second half, out-shooting OCU 12-4 in the final 45 minutes after having previously held an 8-6 shot advantage in the first half for a 20-10 shot lead for the match, let by Cesar Cid's six shots and four shots on goal.

The Falcons are back in action at home this weekend, taking on Rogers State Saturday at noon.
