UTPB Men's Soccer allowed a pair of second half goals and was held off the scoresheet Saturday night in a 2-0 loss to Rogers State at the UTPB Soccer Field.
Kevin Kwarteng scored his first of the year, cleaning up a loose ball almost five minutes into the second half to put the Hillcats in the lead 1-0.
RSU's leading scorer Dylan Beaird scored his 10th of the season in the 81st minute, getting the ball at midfield from Kwarteng and dribbling down the right side ahead of the UTPB defense to score in the left side of the net for a 2-0 lead.
Rogers State held a 15-9 shot lead of the afternoon, getting eight attempts on net to four for the Falcons.
UTPB is back after a quick turnaround Tuesday afternoon, traveing to Portales, N.M. to face Eastern New Mexico.
