UTPB Men's and Women's swimming combined to grab 21 total wins Saturday afternoon in a pair of wins, as men's swimming won 159-131 and the Falcon women picked up a 137-129 victory in Georgetown, Texas.
The Falcon men had six different individuals pick up wins, including
Blayne Jackson with three on the day. Jackson placed first in the 100 backstroke (56.15), 200 backstroke (2:02.72) and 100 butterfly (53.85).
Nathan Pantalion finished in first in two different events, winning the 200 breaststroke (2:13.75) and the 200 IM (2:01.26).
Homero Cantu Belmares won the 1,000 freestye in 10:20.40,
David de Benito Cabezas took first in the 200 Butterfly in 2:00.24,
Nolan Hines won the 100 freestyle in 49.74 and
Mason Mitchell was first in the 500 freestyle in 4:58.67. The 200 freestyle relay team of Hines,
Jax Pounds, Mitchell and
Brandon Hay won in 1:30.45.
Four different individuals won for the UTPB women, including
Amanda Alspaugh,
Peyton Slater, and Sammi Strohmeyer each winning three different events. Alspaugh took first in the 1,000 freestyle (11:22.96), 200 butterfly (2:15.58), and 100 butterfly (1:01.59). Slater won the 200 freestyle (2:00.36), 50 freestyle (24.88), and 500 freestyle (5:26.63). Strohmerer won the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.35, 200 backstroke in 2:13.60 and won the 200 IM in 2:13.97. Allyson Padilla added a win of 56.91 in the 100 freestyle. The 200 Medley Relay team of Slater, Strohmeyer, Alspaugh and Padilla took first place in 1:55.35.
