9/21/2014 3:36:00 PM

Box Score Alexa Branum played a part in both goals scored Sunday afternoon as the UTPB women's soccer team fought to a 2-0 victory in non-conference action against Oklahoma Christian at the UTPB Soccer Field.

Branum put the Falcons in the lead in the game's 33rd minute, netting her second score of the season on a pass from Jasmin Lopez that left her one-on-one with the keeper before finding the open net on the left side.

She was on the other end of the same play in the second half, passing to Lopez down the left side where she flicked a shot past the goalie for her second goal of the season and put UTPB ahead 2-0.

UTPB keeper Ebony Campbell was perfect in net on the day, stopping all five shots she faced for her first shutout of the season.

Lopez led the Falcons with five shots and she and Mallory Martin each had a pair of shots on goal as UTPB out-shot the Eagles 20-11 for the day.

UTPB is back on its home pitch in less than 24 hours, hosting Texas A&M International in another non-conference contest Monday at noon.
