Box Score UTPB Men's Soccer suffered its first home defeat of the season in a 4-0 loss to Wayland Baptist at the UTPB Soccer Field Saturday night.

David Neubirth scored the first two of the night for the visiting Pioneers, putting WBU on the scoreboard first in the 20th minute from the center of the box of a header from a corner.

He added his second straight goal from the game off the left post on a cross from the left side to put Wayland Baptist up 2-0 at 33:19 of the first half.

Renato Dos Anjos added a third goal for Wayland Baptist in the 37th minute, knocking in a save deflection for a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.

Yago Xavier scored the final goal of the night, converting his penalty kick off the rebound after it was saved by UTPB keeper Eric Beltran.

UTPB is back in action Monday afternoon, taking on Heartland Conference member Texas A&M International in a non-conference contest at 2:30 p.m.
